At the RK Film Festival in Mumbai, Kartik Aaryan shared a warm moment with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their interaction quickly went viral. In the now-famous clip, Kartik is seen humorously urging the duo to let their children watch his latest blockbuster, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Addressing their elder son, Taimur Ali Khan, Kartik teased, “At least show it to Taimur…”

Kareena Kapoor had earlier revealed Taimur’s admiration for Kartik’s previous film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. In 2022, Kareena Kapoor revealed, “Taimur watched Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and absolutely adored it. It marked his first experience watching a Hindi film on the big screen. He went with Saif, and the experience left him thrilled.” The 2022 horror-comedy, co-starring Kiara Advani and Tabu, was a smashing success, earning ₹260 crore globally and becoming a Netflix favorite.

Now, with the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik has scaled even greater heights. The film has shattered records, grossing over ₹421 crore worldwide. It stands as the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024 and the fifth-highest-grossing Indian film of the year, cementing Kartik’s reputation as a box-office sensation.

The RK Film Festival itself was a star-studded affair, celebrating the timeless legacy of Raj Kapoor. Organized by PVR INOX Limited and the Film Heritage Foundation, the three-day festival featured screenings of Kapoor’s classics, including Awaara, Shree 420, and Mera Naam Joker, across 40 cities.

Ranbir Kapoor, embodying his legendary grandfather’s charm, graced the event in a traditional dark bandhgala paired with a vintage-style moustache. Alia Bhatt complemented the evening’s nostalgia by donning an elegant ivory saree, which fans speculated was a tribute to Nargis, Raj Kapoor’s iconic co-star.

The Kapoor family, along with Bollywood’s biggest names, gathered for this grand celebration, honoring the cinematic legacy of one of India’s most revered film pioneers.
