Catastrophe in Jaipur: 11 Dead, Scores Injured in Fiery Truck Collision Near Petrol Pump
In the early hours of the morning, Jaipur’s Ajmer Road became the site of a harrowing tragedy as a massive fire broke out, claiming 11 lives and injuring over 40 individuals, many of whom are in critical condition. The catastrophe occurred around 5:30 am when a CNG tanker parked near a petrol pump ignited following a collision involving two trucks, unleashing chaos and destruction in the vicinity.
The intensity of the explosion was devastating, with the fire engulfing multiple vehicles within a 300-meter radius. Witnesses described the scene as apocalyptic, with towering flames and plumes of black smoke visible from miles away. The sound of the explosion was so powerful that it could be heard up to 10 kilometers away, shaking nearby neighborhoods awake.

Officials revealed that one of the trucks involved was carrying a chemical substance, likely contributing to the ferocity of the fire. “The blaze has consumed multiple trucks, and the number of vehicles impacted is still unclear. Many victims are battling critical burn injuries,” said Manish Gupta, SHO of Bhankrota police station.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his deep condolences, announcing financial assistance of ₹2 lakh for the families of those who lost their lives and ₹50,000 for the injured. Describing the Jaipur tragedy as “heartbreaking,” he added, “My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this time of profound grief.
President Droupadi Murmu called the loss of life “profoundly painful,” extending her prayers for the departed souls and the recovery of the injured. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited the hospital to meet with victims and pledged full support to those affected.
