Govind Namdev Shuts Down Dating Rumors with Shivangi Verma: “It’s All for the Camera, Not the Heart!”
Mumbai, Dec 20 (IANS) The internet was set ablaze with rumors of veteran actor Govind Namdev being romantically involved with 31-year-old actress Shivangi Verma, after she shared a photo with him on her social media, accompanied by the caption: “Pyaar knows no age, no limits.” The post sparked widespread speculation, leading many to believe that the seasoned actor was in a relationship with the younger star.
Govind Namdev wasted no time quashing the rumors, turning to Instagram with a mix of humor and sincerity. With a playful tone, he wrote: “Ye real life love nahi hai, reel life hai janab!” (This isn’t love in real life, it’s all for the reel, my friend!
Govind explained that the image and the caption were connected to the plot of their upcoming movie, Gaurishankar Goharganj Wale, where the narrative centers around an older man falling in love with a young actress—a storyline completely separate from his personal life. “The film, which we are currently shooting in Indore, features a character who unexpectedly finds himself in a love affair with a much younger woman,” he said, humorously clarifying that such an event would never occur in his real life.
He took a moment to reassure his fans with a heartfelt message: “Jahaan tak mere vyaktigat jeevan ki baat hai, aisi koi baat iss janam mein ho hi nahi sakti. Meri Sudha meri saans hai!” (When it comes to my personal life, such a thing is simply impossible in this lifetime. My Sudha is my very breath!)
Govind further sweetened the moment with a poetic, passionate tribute to his wife, Sudha, cementing his unwavering commitment:
“Zamaane ki har chaal, har khwaahish, swarg bhi, sab kuchh meri Sudha ke samne bekar hai! Agar kabhi koi galti ki, toh main Prabhu se bhi takra jaunga, aur jo bhi saza ho, woh apnaunga.”
