Maharashtra Votes Today: How to Easily Check Your Name on the Voter List Online
The big day is here—Maharashtra is heading to the polls today, November 20, to decide the future of its 288 assembly seats. The results will be tallied on November 23.
The battle lines are drawn between the ruling Mahayuti alliance, featuring the BJP, Ajit Pawar’s NCP faction, and Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) opposition alliance, which includes Shiv Sena (UBT), Sharad Pawar’s NCP, and Congress. With 4,136 candidates in the race, it’s going to be an intense contest!
Out of the 288 seats, 234 are open to all, while 29 are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) and 25 for Scheduled Tribes (ST).

Guide to Finding Your Name on the Electoral Roll
Go to the Official Website
Visit the Election Commission of India’s official voter portal at https://voters.eci.gov.in. Look for the ‘Search in Electoral Roll’ option under the Services section and click on it to get started.
Choose Your Search Method
You’ll land on https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in, where you can choose one of three ways to search:
By Details: Enter your name, date of birth, state, and district to find your entry.
Using Your EPIC Number: Access your voter details by entering your unique Voter ID (EPIC number).Just enter your EPIC number, state, and captcha.
By Mobile: Enter your registered mobile number and follow the steps to get an OTP for verification.
Check Your Details
Once you’ve completed the steps, your voter details will pop up if you’re registered. Download and print the slip—it’ll come in handy when you go to vote!
