Rajasthan Summit: Major Investments Unveiled by Vedanta and Top Industrialists
The Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 saw top industrialists unveil transformative investment plans for the state. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance, leaders like Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal, Aditya Birla Group’s Kumar Mangalam Birla, Mahindra’s Anand Mahindra, and Adani Ports MD Karan Adani committed to bold projects across renewable energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing.
Anil Agarwal pledged Rs 1 trillion to expand zinc and oil production, creating 100,000 jobs and tripling tax revenues for the state. Kumar Mangalam Birla, reflecting on his Rajasthani roots, announced a Rs 50,000 crore investment, including significant renewable energy projects. Anand Mahindra emphasized climate resilience and revealed plans to boost tourism and expand solar energy capacity with a Rs 11,000 crore investment. Meanwhile, Karan Adani unveiled a Rs 7.5 trillion vision, including cement plants, green energy ecosystems, and Jaipur’s airport development.
With a focus on Rajasthan’s rich resources, streamlined governance, and emerging industrial hubs, the summit highlighted the state’s pivotal role in shaping India’s economic future.
