Rajasthan Unveils Rs 100 Crore Annual Investment for One-District-One-Product Scheme

Rajasthan is committing Rs 100 crore annually to its One-District-One-Product (ODOP) policy, aimed at empowering local artisans, farmers, entrepreneurs, and manufacturers. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Vocal for Local” initiative, the policy will support workers, traders, and exporters in all 50 districts of the state.

The ODOP scheme focuses on selecting, branding, and promoting a unique product from each district, driving balanced regional development across Rajasthan. Each district will identify goods with export potential, creating tailored District Export Action Plans (DEAPs), and forming District Export Promotion Committees (DEPCs) to streamline local export efforts.

From the exquisite marble statues of Sirohi to the sweet honey of Bharatpur, every district offers something unique. The initiative aims to position these products as export powerhouses, improving value chains and encouraging local growth. The state will also establish a Rajasthan Export Promotion Council (REPC) to oversee progress. Already, Rs 20 lakh has been allocated for buyer-seller meetings, and a comprehensive catalog of ODOP products has been compiled. With a yearly budget of Rs 100 crore, the ODOP policy is set to reshape Rajasthan’s local economy and boost its presence in global markets.
